To run our docker tutorials it is essential to setup a Linux system. It is also possible to run docker on other operating systems like windows and mac, however a virtual machine is necessary for that.

For a quick demonstration we should setup Docker using a supported Linux Distribution which we will install as a VM in VirtualBox. Currently Linux Mint 12.3 KDE Beta is the newest and hottest distribution, which is worth to be tested for this purpose.
