**V-Chest** basic functionality is to create seamless incremental backups while a Minecraft instance is running.
  * backups are created in intervals (default 30 sec) and only in case of changes
  * each backup does only backup changes made after the last backup run
  * it backups simple minecraft instances or complete mod pack instances
  * it manages the data separately to reduce disk usage, **thousands of incremental backups** are possible
  * each incremental backup may be restored in a separate folder, even during backups are running
